What I Deserve (Walk Away from the Flames)

What I deserve
Is nothing good
It’s only ash
Compared to wood

A reservation for hell and fire
For every time I called God a liar
For every sin and deceitful desire
It’s only what’s fair

Jesus paid Hell’s death fee in full
Freedom’s latch He did pull
My debt now made null
He paid for me there

What I deserve is to die in the flames
To die by Hell’s games
Living for my own aims
It’s only what’s fair

So walk away from the flames
You don’t have to die there
I know you deserve it
You know that it’s fair

But walk away from the flames
Christ paid it, it’s done
Walk away from the flames
And towards the sun

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, becuase through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
– Romans 8:1-2
