Simple words. Challenging task.
This makes me ask myself: why is it I do the wrong thing so often? Most of us are familiar with Paul’s statement in Romans about sin, and how “what I ought to do, I don’t do, but that which I shouldn’t, I do”. I understand that. But beyond understanding it, I’m still challenged to ask myself WHY. Why do I compromise my likes, my wants, my comforts, for that which God requires? What is it I am pathetically valuing, or allowing to take precedence, over divine control?
I do not belong to myself anymore, remember…I am set free, I am set apart. I need to do what’s right.
