Rejoice!

Rejoice when you arise from bed
Rejoice when you lay down your head
Rejoice when clouds are pouring rain
Rejoice when sunshine comes again

Rejoice if you have plates to wash
A family to feed, or bugs to squash
Rejoice for your faucet, though it may leak
Rejoice if you have doors, though they might creak

Rejoice when cobwebs gather ’round
Rejoice when mismatched socks are found
Rejoice that God does meet your needs
Rejoice that always, your soul He feeds

Rejoice when there are bills to pay
Or traffic takes up half your day
Rejoice when it seems awfully hard
Like you have an inch, but need a yard

Rejoice on fast days, rejoice on slow
Rejoice knowing the place you’ll go
Rejoice for all your sins are paid
And that this life will quickly fade

Rejoice, for God is great and good
Rejoice always, because you should
Rejoice that Christ your soul has saved
Rejoice that heaven’s road He paved
